1. REGISTER & LOGIN

You can easily browse the wide range of motion and fluid control equipment available through the Webstore, however to view price & availability information or to order online you must first register on the Webstore and login.

New User Registration
If you are a new customer to Norgren you can register for a "credit card only account". Click the "credit card account" link in the login panel on the homepage, and complete the short registration form.  Once you have submitted the form, you will receive an automatically generated e-mail, which will inform you that your account is a credit card account and you can access the Webstore immediately.

Existing Customer Registration
If you are an existing Norgren trade account holder you can access your current business terms by completing the "Pre-Registration" form. Click on the "trade account" link in the login panel on the homepage, and complete the short form. Once your account has been activated online you will receive an e-mail which will include your login details and password.  To change this password for something more memorable select "My Details" where you can make amendments to your registration details.
All purchases you now make on this account will be subject to your current terms and conditions already agreed with Norgren.

Login
When returning to the site you will need to supply your email address and password before you can order or view price & availability.

Click on "login" in the left hand panel of the homepage. Enter your email address and password, then select the account from the drop-down box that you wish to login to.

Password Reminder
If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgotten your password?" link on the login page, then enter your email address. Your password will be sent by email to your registered email address. For security you should then change this to something more memorable within "My Details".

2. PRICE & AVAILABILITY

The "Price & Availability" function allows you to see price and lead times for individual items without adding the item to your basket.

Price & Availability Information
You will need to register and login before you can access pricing and availability.
Prices are quoted in GBP. The unit price excludes delivery charges and VAT. These will be added within the shopping basket and are included in the total order price quoted.
Stocked items are normally available for same day shipment, when the order is received before 16:00 hours, Monday to Friday excluding national holidays. If you select a non-stock item you will be advised as to when it will be shipped.

3. ORDERING ONLINE

What is the Quick Basket?
The quick basket offers a speedy way to add products into a shopping basket. If you know the part number of the product you need, simply key it directly into the quick basket. You can add up to 10 different items at one time!
You can either use the mini-quickbasket on your Webstore homepage, or you can use the main-quickbasket by clicking on the link in the "Quick Links" panel.
Once you have entered your items into the basket, click ‘Add to Basket’ and your items will be added to you shopping basket.

What is the Paste Basket?
Located on the homepage, the "Paste Basket" offers an even quicker way to add products into a shopping basket – simply copy & paste! You no longer have to manually enter your order details – simply copy your part numbers and quantities from your own purchasing system or spreadsheets for example, and paste them directly into the empty "Paste Basket". You can enter one part number per line, with a space, tab or comma separating the quantity, for example:

Once you have entered your items into the basket, click ‘Add to Basket’ and your items will be added to you shopping basket.

How do I search for products?
The search box located on the homepage allows you to search for products using partial or complete part numbers, and keywords. Your search results allow you to view both "catalogued" and "non-catalogued" products, and enable you to add items directly to your basket. For more information you can click on the product name and visit the product information page where you will have access to detailed technical information, accessories and relevant datasheets.

View your Basket
Your basket contains all the items you have selected and added, either from the catalogue, quick basket or paste basket. A short basket summary containing the items you have added, together with a running total is always visible on the left hand side of every page, however you can view the entire contents of your basket by clicking the "View Basket" link.
Once your basket is complete, you can amend items already added, delete items or continue adding items to the basket. You will be charged for all items that are contained in your basket when you click "checkout" to process your order.

Changing Item Quantities
If you wish to amend the quantity of an item already in your basket, change the number in the "Quantity" box and click the amend quantity button at the end of the relevant order line to confirm any changes. This button is marked with a '1'.

Deleting Items from your Basket
If you wish to delete an item from your basket, click the delete button at the end of the relevant order line. This button is marked with an 'X'.

Adding comments to your Order
You can add comments to an individual order line within your basket, for use as a personal reminder. Type your text into the text box above your basket and then click the add comments button at the end of the relevant order line. This button is marked with an 'A'.

Submitting your Order
If you are happy with your order do not forget to submit it! To complete your order simply check all the items and quantities in your basket by clicking the "View Basket" link. Once everything is checked click the"Checkout" link underneath the basket. Complete all the details on the "order details" page, including your personal "Purchase Order Number", then click "Submit". Check all of the details on the order summary screen then click the "Order" link to complete your order. You will receive a confirmation of your order by email shorty after it has been submitted.
Details of your order can now be accessed through "order history".

4. PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Payment Methods
If you hold a trade account with Norgren you will be able to purchase against your account.
Alternatively we accept all major credit cards and you can safely enter your credit card details via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.
To provide you with an additional layer of security, Norgren do not store any credit card details that are provided. Your credit card details are transferred to a secure machine across a proprietary one way interface. This computer is not accessible by network or modem, and the number is not stored anywhere else.

VAT
VAT is charged at the current rate in the UK. VAT is added to your order online. If your organisation is VAT exempt, and has an existing Norgren trade account the appropriate rate will apply.

Multiple Delivery Addresses
Trade account holders can manage multiple delivery addresses which enables order to be shipped to alternative addresses. In order to add a delivery address to your address book click on the "My Details" link at the top of the screen, then the " Manage Addresses" link. Here you can add, delete and amend existing addresses.
When you place an order you can select the required delivery address from a drop down menu in the delivery details section of the order page.

5. ORDER PROCESSING

Order Processing and Shipping
All orders are entered into our business system shortly after they are submitted. You will receive an email order confirmation once we have processed your order. The latest time for an order to be entered onto Norgren's system for same day shipping is 16:00 Monday - Friday.
If there is a problem with your order, it will not be accepted for normal processing. Norgren Customer Services will contact you to discuss how you wish your order to proceed.
All Shipments are subject to stock availability.
The lead-time quoted on the store is time to when we ship your order. For delivery information on out of stock items please contact customer services on 0870 890 3620.

Balanced or Partial Shipments
Balanced orders (your order will be held until all your items are ready) are the default, however if one or more of the items in your order are out of stock, you will also have the option to request a partial shipment of any on hand items. If you select partial shipment your goods will be sent as they become available. Normally only one shipping charge would apply.

Returns Procedure
If you wish to return an item which you have bought over the internet please contact Norgren 0870 890 3620.  Goods returned maybe subject to a handling charge.

Changes to Orders
Once your order has entered the processing cycle, we cannot accept changes. Order changes cannot be accepted via the Internet. If you need to make a change, please have your web order number and sales order number ready when you call customer services on 0870 890 3620.

Confirming PO's
Please do NOT send confirmatory Purchase Orders for your web orders. We handle a large volume of orders every day and are not able to process confirmations. Our system will automatically e-mail your order information once it has been submitted successfully.

6. Webstore FUNCTIONALITY

Order History
The Order History area allows you to check the status of ALL the orders placed on your account – online , by fax or even over the telephone . You can review their status, and see our latest promise date. You can even re-order them to save you time in the future!
To search for web orders either select the date the order was placed or enter the Web Order number. All other orders (telephone, fax) can be searched using your Purchase Order number or the Norgren Sales Order number.
Your most recent orders will be displayed at the top of your Webstore homepage for easy access, however you can search and view all previous orders by clicking the "Order History " link in the quick links panel.

Saved Baskets & Quotes
All items added to your basket will be automatically saved by the Webstore, however you have the option to manually save the items in your basket for use in the future by clicking the "Save quote" link beneath your basket. You can either "save & empty basket" or "save & continue". "Save & continue" saves your quote but returns you to the basket to continue. "Save & empty basket " allows you to save a quote for use in the future. A copy of any quotes that you manually save will be automatically sent to your registered email address.
Your most recent saved baskets will be displayed at the top of your Webstore homepage for easy access, however you can search and view all saved baskets by clicking the "Saved Quotes" link in the quick links panel.

Reordering Previous Web Orders
Click the "Order History" link in the quick links panel. Your most recent orders will be displayed at the top of the page, however you can search all previous orders by date or order number. Click the order number to view the contents of your order. You can then add this order to a new basket by clicking the "Add to basket" link. The whole order will be added to your current basket where you can amend items or continue shopping.

My Items
The "My Items" area gives you access to a complete list of all items ordered on your account, not only those ordered online.
Browse the list and select those that you need to re-order. These can be added to a new basket allowing you to place your order with ease.

Parcel Tracking
Parcel Tracking is now available via your order history page. The 'track this parcel' link on your order history detail page will take you directly to the carrier website to track your order. You will also be notified by email when your web orders have been despatched.

7. PURCHASING MANAGEMENT

What is a Prime User?
The main user of the Norgren Webstore within any company is termed the Prime user. The prime user is in the first instance the person who first registers their trade account at the Webstore for their company. This function can be given to another user by contacting customer services on 0870 890 3620.
The prime user has responsibility for setting up and amending other user accounts within the same company. Prime users also have access to all baskets and orders created by all other users on the account by clicking on the "Edit Sub-Account" link in the "My Details" section.

What can a Buyer do?
Buyer accounts are set up by the Prime User within a company. Buyers have the facility to view prices and availability and to place orders.

What can a Browser do?
A browser can view pricing & availability and create a basket, however they cannot order online. If a browser creates a basket, the prime user cann access this basket and continue with placing the order.

What is a Basket Limit?
The basket limit is the maximum value of a basket that can be created by a specific buyer or browser account. Prime Users can set specific basket limits for individual users on their account. When creating a new sub-account (click "My Details" then "Create Sub-Account") simply enter the maximum amount that the user is allowed to spend per order in the basket limit field. By default users have no basket limit set.

8. GENERAL

When do we charge your Credit Card?
We do not charge your credit card until we ship your order. If you are owed a full or partial refund, we will credit your trade account or credit card.

What happens if I am over my trade account credit limit?
If your account is over limit your order will be accepted but will not be shipped until the account is paid off. Norgren customer services will contact you to discuss your account.

What are Cookies?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies contain your country of origin and username, but do not contain any other personal information. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies. In order to work correctly, the Webstore requires that you have cookies enabled in your browser settings.

Can I place an Order if I am Outside of the UK?
If you are resident outside of the UK you will not be able to place an online order at this Webstore. Please check Webstore availibility on your local Norgren website http://www.norgren.com.

Hours of availability
The Webstore is available for orders 24 hours a day, however orders will not be processed outside of normal working hours. The latest time for order for same day despatch (where appropriate) is 16:00 Monday to Friday (excluding National holidays). Registration and account opening will be dealt with during normal working hours (excluding National holidays).

All customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Misuse of Online Ordering System
Norgren can not be held responsible for any misuse of the ordering system by your employees or companions. Security of your user name and passwords are your responsibility. Credit Card orders received by us are considered authentic and are shipped promptly by our automated system. If you suspect any fraudulent use of your account, please contact us immediately so your account can be placed on hold.
The customer is responsible for advising Norgren if he moves company or if a user profile relating to their company has expired. A prime user for a company has responsibility for updating his own company's buying accounts.
